Unit 8 Evaluation

Starting the Unit 8 comes the Camberwell project, it was a fun team with other two classmates, and have a chance to discover local couture. From the understanding of the local background story to focus on mental health, I enjoy this process very much, just like in history class can also be like in social practice. This topic made me know more about the place where I lived for a year. I have never been interested in research like this. The project not only increased my knowledge of psychology but also let me access to other areas of the organisation (NHS). Very lucky, my team members are interested in ceramics, we work and discuss together, the hold project we did it harmoniously.
The second project, Camberwell cook book, as I remembered I was quite lost during the first brief. I consider too much about “take food as metrical” and the recipe, food topic has been widely discussed, and recipe, the graphic thing that was I not good at. I was really struggling to come up I try to express a dining experience that is surrounded by food. After a talk with Shane, then I  understood the brief, and fresh my mind. During research in the supermarket, I find my way. The final idea still retains the philosophy I want to show.  

I am very happy with the group cooperation, but I actually have more want to do the direction. The local glass studio is the most I want to cooperate. I admit that I am a madman, but this project I need to control myself well. This is my own contradictions when the first project.I've been wondering if I chose a glass studio, maybe they would refuse, and if not, maybe it might be better and maybe not. But I am very much hoping to learn the glass process, but mental health is what I need to learn.

The food project has shown me there are lots of new ways to discover the food topic. At first, I felt stuck with the brief, I did not open my mind of this big topic, I gave myself a lot of obstacles, think too much. I started the mentality too wanna be perfect the project. In fact, I should change my mind earlier, this is an event, a salon, I should think more playful more fun.If I could realise this earlier, I thought it would be better.

In this Unit, I have tried to slip casting, making slip, throwing, glazing, and making glaze. In-depth practice the field that I am interested in is very useful for my future project. I put all the works in accordance with the progress of schedule to complete. This is the experience of multiple plays with ceramics. Unfortunately, my craft skills are still not good enough. And this year my software did not have the opportunity to practice, this is my regret. In addition, I have done my best for this unit.

Silp casting #2

Put them on for a weekend Next week can enter the kiln.
At the same time I was thinking about teapots.
